Crown Prosecution Service Annual Report 2016-2017

September 22, 2017

A pick at the new CPS annual report confirms the ongoing reduce in department budget.

Since 2009–2010, total net expenditure has reduced by nearly 27% and  CPS seem to be doing just fine as the total net resource requirement (including capital) as shown in the Statement of Parliamentary Supply was £498.6 million which was £3.4 million or 0.7% less than the sum voted to CPS by Parliament.

The reduced amount of cases handled by CPS last year might be due to the migration of crime from the feasible platforms to cyberspaces as the report  indicates a rise in fraud cases in digital technology. for more detailed report click on the following link.
